I’m not saying that beef and pork sausages aren’t tasty, don’t get me wrong, but sometimes I tend to just get a little sick of eating them, and I’m sure you’re the same.

Variety is the spice of life, and you don’t want to be eating the same things over and over again, just because you’re lacking some inspiration.
That’s where I come in.
Sometimes people are off-put by the mild flavor of chicken sausages, but I tend to find they are so much less greasy than your other sausage meat options (If you’re interested in checking out some hotdog recipes Click Here).
Plus, you can actually buy loads of different kinds of chicken sausages, such as apple wood, spinach and feta, or andouille.
So flavor really won’t be a problem.
Not with my recipes anyway. It’s such a versatile meat with so many different ways to make scrumptious meals. Don’t believe me?
Just keep reading.
Healthy Chicken Sausage Pasta With Roasted Tomatoes
So my first dish is a really tasty and healthy pasta dish that the whole family will adore.
You’ll want some pappardelle noodles that are mixed with some roasted tomatoes, chicken sausage (crumbled up into small pieces) with some olive oil, and then topped with some parmesan cheese.
It’s a really hearty dish, that I often make in the colder months as a winter warmer and serve with some nice crusty rolls with butter to dip into the sauce.
Since chicken sausages are much leaner than pork sausages it is actually a healthier choice too. You could even add some of your favorite veggies to make it even healthier.
But if you’re anything like me, you may make it a little unhealthier by giving yourself a very generous portion of cheese.
Chicken Sausage And Vegetable Skillet
If you’re trying to find a way to ensure that your kiddies are getting their 5-a-day then this is a great option that tastes fantastic.
You’ll chop up some bell peppers, zucchini, onions, red potatoes, and of course, your chicken sausage, and shallow fry them in your large skillet.
You can add your favorite seasonings to give it that extra bit of flavor and then serve.
I don’t tend to find that you need any sides or extras to go with this dish because it’s more filling than it looks.
And oh is it tasty! This is a meal that whenever I serve it, I can guarantee the plates will be licked clean.
And if all that wasn’t enough, the whole meal can be cooked in just 30 minutes!
Honey Mustard Chicken Sausage And Veggies
Honey mustard and sausage are a match made in heaven. The two just compliment each other so well. And it’s this combination that really brings this dish alive.
The air-fried chicken paired with some yummy veggies, quinoa, and mixed greens is all brought together by a tangy yet surprisingly sweet honey mustard sauce.
And wow, it is so good. It’s the kind of meal where you’re already scooping up your next mouthful before you’ve finished chewing the first.
You can always tell a meal is going to be delicious and full of flavor when you’ve got a bright and colorful plate. And you certainly have that with this meal.
Chicken Sausage Pizza
This one is great for families. It is a really rare occasion that you’ll ask your little ones if they want pizza and they will say no.
Now, this recipe makes the pizza a real fully-loaded one – it has tons of delicious toppings.
But if you’ve got fussy eaters in your family you can always make an option that is just chicken sausage and cheese.
However, for our less fussy eaters, you’ll be pleased to hear the whole pizza is smothered in tasty treats.
Chicken sausage, spinach, onions, and roasted red peppers are the toppings of choice.
You could add more if you really wanted to, but I’d advise going easy on any additional toppings because the base is barely visible as it is.
This pizza is really super tasty and paired with a few dipping sauces to dunk it in – you’ve got the ultimate meal.
Chicken Sausage Soup
Who doesn’t love a bit of soup to warm the soul on a cold winter night? This is a great lunch or dinner option that won’t take you any longer than 20 minutes.
There are very few ingredients and it’s really easy to make, which means more time with the family and less time stuck in the kitchen.
You may not think that soup is all that filling, but considering this is packed with chicken sausage, veggies, and rice, it’s a pretty filling meal.
Especially if you are also a bread dunker when it comes to soups.
Most of the ingredients in this soup are precut or precooked so most of the faff is already done for you, making it a breeze to cook.
Open-Faced Greek Chicken Sausage Gyros
This is the perfect option for when the weather is a little hotter. Why not close your eyes, and transport yourself to the beautiful Greek islands.
This meal will surely take you there.
You’ll top your naan bread with a slathering of hummus, a hearty portion of chicken sausage, cucumbers, and some tomatoes.
All that’s needed then is some garlic paste, a squeeze of lemon juice and you’re all set to go.
Grilled Sausage And Peppers With Garlic Aioli
Could I possibly do a list of chicken sausage recipes and not include something hotdog-esque. I think not.
So get your grill going and tuck in on these little beauties. You won’t be disappointed.
You’ll want to grill your sausage along with some peppers and onions. And that’s pretty much it. Nice and simple, but super tasty.
Pop those bad boys into a toasted brioche bun and voila food is served. But don’t forget to drizzle that garlic aioli over the top to really bring it all together.
Grilled Chicken Sausage Kabobs
What a perfect dish for barbeque weather. Fire up that grill and chuck on your chicken sausage, some onions, and some bell peppers.
Wait for it to cook and pop them all on one skewer and as simple as that you are done.
These are super delicious and since they use the same ingredients as the recipe above you could do a little of each and have the ultimate chicken sausage barbeque feast! Yum!
Chicken Sausage Calzone
Who doesn’t love a calzone (If you love calzones, you might also want to check out Strombolis here)? Well, now you can tuck right into one without having to worry about all the calories.
This is the perfect fakeaway option for those being health conscious.
In this dish, you’ll mainly fill your calzone with tasty chicken sausage while keeping the fat and calorie content down low.
Weeknight Chicken Sausage Stew
Stew is always good for the heart and the soul and is perfect for those colder evenings.
You’ll pack your strew full of delicious chicken sausage, as well as your favorite leafy greens, and cannellini beans.
And just in case that wasn’t tasty enough, there is also a hearty sprinkling of cheesy breadcrumbs on the top too.
And no stew is complete without some tiger bread rolls for dunking.
Chicken Sausage Stuffed Pitas
I absolutely love this recipe, but I am the ultimate pita bread fan. There is nothing you can’t pop in a tender and crispy pita pocket that won’t be incredibly delicious.
In this recipe, you’ll be smashing as much chicken sausage, and veggies into the pita as possible and then drizzling a whole load of tzatziki sauce over the top.
In my opinion the more sauce the better. Yum.
Chicken Sausage Pepper Potato Hash
Last, but by no means least, is this delicious all-day-breakfast-inspired meal. I usually serve this for brunch, but hey, it’ll be delicious no matter what time of day it is.
Chicken sausages, potatoes, bell peppers, and a sunny-side-up egg all together in one pot. Delightful!
What’s also great is that it’s super quick and easy to make too. Something this delicious should not be so simple, but it is!
Final Thoughts
As you can see, there is plenty that can be done with chicken sausage. So ditch the boring monotonous meals and try something new, that you and your whole family will adore.
There is something for everyone.
Whether you prefer lighter dishes like the chicken sausage pasta dishes or the chicken sausage pitas or you’re more into a hearty meal such as the chicken sausage stew, I’ve got you covered.
From meals for the sunshine to meals for the colder months, this versatile meat will work in all situations, so you should definitely add it to your grocery list if you haven’t already.
Try out these dishes and see which ones are your favorites. I’m sure once you try them, they will be meals that you just want to return to again, and again, and again!
